Wowza! I'm lucky to just get my fabrics wrapped and indexed in evernote. lol

The main reason I am "tab" labeling my fabric is so I can look at
the tab too see how much I have. I DON'T have to pull it off a shelf or
out a drawer, box, bag or where ever it might be stored at.

When the day comes that I am "organized" enough to get shelves
put up all the fabric is going to be color sorted by color, than light
to dark.

At least that is my goal (and my story and I'm sticking to it LOL).

That's a good idea because taking it in and out is a pain. I use evernote on my phone to show how much of each fabric I have so I don't have to take them in and out.

Great job ladies! My fabric is kept in drawers so I didn't use comic boards. I just ruler folded the fabric -- it is held up by all the fabric in the drawer. I love the folded fabric -- so much easier to find what I need! I have way too much but certainly don't have 53 totes full!!

I think I'm doing well when it isn't lying around in heaps everywhere. :D

53 bins! Do you still love it all? You could start a quilt store, lucky you!

Once I can get the fabric room cleaned up enough (again) to
start going through ALL that fabric I intend to get rid of a lot
of the fabric.

In past years I would do a destashing and donate any where
from 50-300 yards of fabric. But the gentleman I donated to
pasted a few years ago.

There is a local charity that I donated to once, but won't go back
to them since they "too good" to accept my donations because I
am not giving them my HIGHEST quality items (Omni Grid rulers,
Olfa cutters, LQS quality fabrics).

I will be selling off quite a bit of the fabric once I can get to that
point. Just not sure WHERE I am going to sell it at (here, ebay etc).

Wish I could come to your house. I love organizing fabric.

Oh I wish you could too LOL.

I LIKE organizing it I just don't LOVE it.

But it is also having to organize ALL the other sewing notions
that I have.

Let me get this straight. Your fabric is not supposed to be dumped in a tub and shoved under the bed with the dust bunnies? You shouldn't have to dig through a pile that looks like refuse from a tornado to find what you need? Interesting concept. I should get on board with this one.
