I don't have the option of using a closet so have open shelving. I've folded all mine either using the comic book boards or when I ran out of them used the ruler folder methods so I keep it as neat as possible. All my fleece is folded and placed on top of all the bookcases/shelving so its a little messy but what the heck, I don't look up there too often and its right up against the rafters too. Trying to find projects to use up all that fleece to get it out of here.

Ooooooo! I just found a tutorial on how to make your own fabric covered boxes! I'm going to buy a bolt of muslin for the boxes and then use my stash for the cuffed liners! Now I can keep my pretty closet color visible, have my storage, protect my fabric, and hide the mess!
I'm thinking about using quilt leftovers to piece the basket liners. Then each box will be a memento of the quilts I've made.

Interesting idea.

I took the doors off some years ago, the only problem I have noticed is that dust does collect on the fabric folds if I don't use them up.

i would go with doors that have the chicken wire type. and behind the chicken wire have a sheer fabric of some type. have pretty rustic knobs.. keep the doors a dark wood like the trim..

Definitely doors - I too am disorganized.

I did something like this but I bought beautiful lace shower curtains and hung them so I can slide them open or keep them shut. Works for me.

Curtains add color and are easy to manage.

I would want doors. I like things clean and tidy. Door will also keep the light and dust fron your material.
