Who says a space has to be huge to be wonderful! The room actually looks better with all your sewing conveniences installed. Good job!

You and your DH get first prize for best use of space available. Each idea is totally clever in itself. By doing it this way, you have actually locked away some of the tools that grand kids might get into. And cleverly disguised the tables as decorative. You could sell this information to some sewing/quilting/crafts magazine. Congrats.

I’m so impressed! What a great idea to cover your trundle bed with a cutting table. Lovely room.

You are so clever!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you're having so much fun playing in that beautiful room.

Thank you all for your comments. We really enjoyed putting it all together. And now I spend more time in there than any other room in the house. The two storage cabinets were purchased from Home Depot, but the cutting table and the sewing table were made from scratch using stain grain wood. If anyone is interested I have pictures of the construction as it progressed that I could post. It really helps to have a handy dh and mine is very hand. I'm truly blessed.

Wow! I love these ideas. But I have to ask, off-topic... how are those dolls being held up on the wall?! I have some vintage dolls I'd love to put up in my sewing room.

wonderful results, brilliant building right over the daybed. Since your husband is handy, have him make a dropdown box to hold the machine. my sewing took a huge jump in precision with a smooth feed through rather than working with a hump.

Make the hole a little bigger than your machine so it will fit anything you might want to stick in there, and use the Janome Acrylic to go over and fit your machine snugly.

Great and three thumbs up. It is also very neat and tidy.
