Thanks, everyone. The fabric that was in the box smells fine. I sniffed all the boxes, and found that only one style is smelly. Others are fine. So I'm going to replace those. I think they were the earliest boxes I got, over 20 years ago. Watson, my area looks a lot like yours!

I use the clear see thru boxes that my lettuce comes in and they work fine for organizing colors. There are no odors. We eat the lettuce, wash the containers and stack them up. I use for material and hubby uses for "greenhouses".
