Yesterday I put the hand crank on my featherweight and sat out by the pond to sew with my FW in my lap. nice 'til the heat drove me back inside.

My youngest left for college this year, leaving us as empty nesters. We were also house hunting. So with no more kids at home, we bought a home with both living room and family room. The family room is my sewing room. No door or closet, but I finally have all the space I've dreamed of for years.
In our last home, my DH converted an old workshop outbuilding to a finished sewing room for me. Even in my 30's proximity to the bathroom was an issue. I start sewing and loose track of time, then stand up and that house seems miles away, lol.

having the bathroom close is a benefit to some, a necessity for others of us.

Got my 2662 out yesterday to do some crazy quilting and also wanted to watch some videos on my computer so why not bring it into my office. Why so unusual you may ask? just never did think about it before.

I often take my machine outside onto the patio on a nice day and enjoy sewing and being outside at the same time. Good light also.

We've been having a lot of wind lately which makes it hard to sew outdoors--my crumbs keep blowing away
