Where ever it works is good for me. I've seen on here a lot where people used their master bedrooms, etc. The only thing I think I'd worry about is if you do a lot of showers how the steam might effect your machines, with the dampness. You need to do what ever will work for you, no matter where its at. Years ago I gave up sewing for many years because I'd have to take my machine up and down each day due to no place to permanently set it up. Its so much easier if you can set it up and leave it up.

I have a little vintage Singer 99 that I switched to a hand crank. I have taken it camping.

It's been fun reading .

I live in a camper FT & sew from my recliner in one corner of the living room. When doing FMQ, I just swing my sewing table around to face the fridge & use a dining room chair! Other times, I set up our long folding table on our deck & work out there. I love working outside in the winter here during good weather.

When I was going to quilt shows and taking classes, I would take my sewing machine in to the motel room. I also took a small microwave and ice cooler. Much cheaper than eating all the meals out.

It's great to read of all the odd places we have sewn in before:) I'm one who is happy as long as I'm sewing. At present I have a desk and a dresser side-by-side as my sewing table in the living room. But I've sewn in an 8' camper before, in the dining room, basement and bedroom. (Everywhere but the bathroom!) There was a time while I was a teen that I didn't have a sewing desk, so I'd sit sideways against my dresser and sew.... a great way to get a bad back! I'll never try that again!

I sewed on our coffee table while I sat on the floor. I had the foot pedal positioned so all I had to do was use my knee. Not. any. more.

I don't have a dedicated sewing space, so I sew on the dining room table...works great most of the time until we have people over, and then I have to move everything!

I always like to say "Once the signature is written, no one knows what kind of pen did the work". Go for it.
