I don't really cut my scraps but once I'm done with a quilt and I have leftover fabrics or tails of strips, I measure the width of the strip and add that to the container for that size. If its a between size I throw it into the next smallest container. larger scraps go into a container for large scraps. This way when I'm looking for say scraps in 2.5" size I just pull out that container and cruise thru it. Will also look in my 5" container since I can cut those into 2.5 pieces too. Also the large scraps might get pulled for a look-see.

TUSM everyone for your suggestions. Today I plan to do lots and lots of trimming. DH will be on his own for lunch and probably dinner too...lol. TV in on the the fabric room and music in the sewing room. Too bad I don't have a to tally up the "mileage.
