Default Sewing room back in order

Two years and four major surgeries on both elbows and wrist, I am almost finished putting my sewing room back in order. That room looked like the latest Oklahoma tornado hit it!! I began working in there Memorial Day weekend. Spent three days of my weekend and numerous evenings after work. Takes a long time to reorganize two years of mess. During my recuperation my husband placed most everything without a specific home into my sewing room. It really got out of hand. Caught him doing it again Monday. Old habits die hard. Let's just say I was not happy!! I think he now understands the importance of not doing that again. Still have a little ways to go, but hope to begin sewing again in July.

good that your feeling motivated to sew again and that among all the operations and adjustments,
    you got your dh reconfigured
If mine comes into my sewing room, he knows he better not say anything negative or I'll remind
him all about his "deathtrap shop" etc.

Oh how nice that you're recovered!! It's a chore to clean up a sewing room, but not a really unpleasant one, I think! (I'd rather do that than dishes or laundry any day!)

I hope you're having lots of fun creative thoughts as you get your space back in order! I bet you have a huge list of things you want to work on, after so much time out.

For years I reminded my husband of his "deathtrap garage" every time he mentioned my out-of-control studio. Now that I'm culling/organizing/decluttering he is starting to rethink his garage. Maybe it's contagious!!!!!

When DH would try things or "forget" as he calls where to put things in their rightful place, I just ask him if he wants the neighbors to know our business by my "wifi"?.

I started cleaning my sewing room. everything had been shoved in there when we put down new flooring in the kitchen and living room areas. Got a good bit done until I got distracted. Found my glass blocks and gallery glass paints and well, maybe get back to work tomorrow when the paint dries. lol. at least i can get in there now.

I wouldn't wait until July.... unless you're still trying to find the sewing machine! LOL
One day at a time, which you already know from your surgeries.
Sometimes sewing is the best medicine!
    Continued healing and best wishes.
