So many houses have those alcoves that are hard to decide what to do with them. I love your idea to make the area into a large FMQ area. I'll have to remember that if our next house has an alcove like that. Wonderful space!

What a great room. We are building a garage at our cabin in northern AZ and I will have my "own" sewing room - 10ft x 17ft and I can't wait until it is done. Already have "big plans" for it!!!!

That makes me smile... I don't "entertain" much, but often when I do, it is to invite others to come and sew with me. I have a few young friends working on their sewing skills that I enjoy mentoring a bit.

I Love your table for machine quilting setup with the window above for good light! Looks like good room to work & machine set in table works best. I love the sloped ceilings for the atmosphere it creates, and clever of you with customizing all the shelving to work anyway.

That's a 98TL Q. There is a newer model out now, the TL2000 Q, with some minor improvements, but I LOVE my machine for FMQ!

Just to add a note. The Juki TL98 Q does have a new one out, but I question it's improvements. It does have a slide bar for speed control and for free motion quilting, that would be a perk. But If you are using it on a quilt frame like for instance the Grace frame and there are others. The stitch regulator won't work on the new model. Also the speed control doesn't seem to work correctly as well. A new one is comming out, but not ready as yet. So if your are shopping, I hope this helps.
