I know a lot of us pick a favorite color that maybe we wouldn't use in any other space. Mine is a sunny yellow. I did paint only true white for years but switched to color and found it was easier to live with then I thought it would be. I know the surrounding color can sometimes influence my color choices, had to switch from a colored design wall to a white one, kept matching everything to the wall. This is probably one of the few color decisions that you can make to just please yourself. Let us know what you decide.

I would go with maybe an eggshell so it doesn't throw your colors off too much!

I like an ivory. I find that when the walls have a lot of color I have problems really seeing the true colors of the fabric.

I used a very pale yellow called Custard Creme , by Behr (Home Depot). It's both cheerful and calming.

Do each wall in a different color..by the time you put up all shelves, etc., up most walls will be full, but each will have a different color peeking out! Fun......

I like a soft yellow. I find it really uplifting. I'm not a white wall sort of person. I spent too many years working in the apartment industry where walls were always white.

I had our guest bedroom painted with the color "Tagsale Linen" paint from (I think) Home Depot and the color is light and looks great! After it cools off, I plan to repaint my sewing room with it! When we bought our house, I converted a large bedroom in our walkout basement to my sewing room, but didn't paint first before moving everything in (big mistake). Three walls are lavendar and one wall is purple, which makes it darker than I like.

Lucky lady! Whatever you chose it will be wonderful. What color are the cabinets, counters, etc -- that along with floor color may make a difference. Remember to post more pictures.

When I painted my bedroom I wanted a color that would never clash with any quilt I put on my bed. I found Tsunami Sky at Lowes. I actually took the sample out to compare it with a cloudy sky. It is a light silvery color, bright and really does go with any color quilt I want to add to my bedroom.
