You did an awesome job. I ended up putting my small scraps in drawers, but now they are a mess too. Oh well, out of sight.

Very nice!! Wish I had enough room to do that!! My stash is in four 18 gallon tubs and a storage shed. :-)

Am working on mine also. I tend to know I have fabric somewhere only to go buy some more. Come home and it jumps at me later. Found a lot of lost fabric this way. Used bookshelves and put fabric on boards..Now I can find most of what I was looking for. Keep at it. You will be so much happier..

Thats my problem to...not fabric but pedals to machines, tools-ever since I have down sized to a much smaller room I am constantly looking for stuff-I hate it. I am a very organized person and it drives me crazy to waste so much time. Ok my little rant is over-thank-you

And that folks, is how it's done. I should follow your example.

The only thing that scares me is the part of rating a number and purging the lower numbers because even though I may never use some of the fabrics, I have the feeling that if I want to try something new and not use real good fabrics, I can do a sample with the fabrics I'm not too fond of anymore, just to try something new in case I mess up. What do I do about that? I have trouble parting with things. I tell myself I love all of them, so I don't have the courage to part with things I purchased because I liked them. Oh my zozee. Is there any hope for me????
put 7s in one bin, must be half yard at least. For trying out patterns.

Idea, today sorted fabrics (blues) and put in bundles if they played well together. Had some pillow panels and trying to use them up in quilts. So needed blues ( and other colors) that blended. Found had odd blues that didn't work, do I want to keep them? If big yes, if small, I really had to like. Under 12" sq. I put in scraps.
