Working on my sewingromm for Last few day's my poor back.

My room was such a mess I had 5 totes of fabric I purchased from my daughter April before her move and she also gave me a lot. I finally tried to get through it, some I needed to wash and fold. I didn't realize all the work, I have a huge box and bag of scraps and different fabric sizes I'm gonna donate to a free store. They give every thing away for free. Maybe some one can use it. I usually cut all my scraps down but my back is just getting to bad. My hubby made me this cutting table and I love it, nice and high.

    Nice set up!

It does take a lot of effort to go through that much stuff.

Thank you, I use to have a whole book case full of Halloween fabric, when I moved my son's girlfriend took a lot of my fabric and of coarse I didn't notice it till I unpacked. She also helped herself to my creams/tans, wow, calico's and more, her family was having a yard sale and she most likely made a killing on my fabric.

This is a sad commentary on her actions.

Thanks ladies, guess sometimes you learn the hard way. I love my sewing room, just wish it was a bit bigger, my son made me all my shelves, he can climb right up them. The drawers on bottom were from the three stacked carts you buy in Walmart, they were heavy so he made them fit into the shelve units. I love Halloween and Christmas, I really had some awesome fabric's.

Wonderful sewing room, it looks great! That is a beautiful stash as well. Sorry to hear about your pilfered fabrics, that is really sad.

Thank you, I'm still grateful she didn't take more, but so sad to help yourself to something that didn't belong to you, she also helped herself to lots of books and magazines as well.

You have done an amazing job with organizing your sewing room. So sad you are missing some fabrics and books after your move.

It is hard work to organize fabric, especially when you have to wash & fold. Looks great!! You know no matter how large your room we keep adding and room gets smaller. lol

Looks like a quilt store. Well organized and ready to "mess up again". Easier to do then cleaning up (ask me how I know).

It may have been a lot of work but look how wonderful it looks now and I bet it will be easier now to keep it neat.
I love the units your son made - perfect. The best thing I ever did for myself (and my back) was to get a table that is 36" high.

Your space looks so well organized using every available spot! I was wondering about the plastic/wood drawer unit, and you answered my question about it. Lucky you to have such talented "enablers"! You will so enjoy the higher cutting table. I use an "retired" kitchen base cabinet for mine, it saves on the back for sure.
    Don't worry spider.
