Try Fancygappottery.com. They started as an antique mall and had some local crafts and craft items. They expanded to a fabric outlet. The fabric was some that was carried in Walmart and some other discount stores. They also have apparel fabric, great floral supplies, and mill end yarns (at one time). The stock changes but I try to go there whenever I can. It is south of Roanoke heading toward Wytheville. You exit onto Interstate 77 from Interstate 81 south and get off at exit 8 if I remember correctly. It, as I said, is near Wytheville and in Wytheville is Sew What Batiks. Sew What Batiks is not a discount store but is one store that you have to see to believe. It has many lines of fabric for a LQS but its specialty is batiks. The place absolutely amazes me whenever I go there. Just a few suggestions. Have fun if you are headed to southwest Virgina.

Oahu has one as well. Lived there for 6 years - loved that place! They did have a quilt shop with more traditional fabrics as you'd find here on the mainland.

I miss all my Hawaiian printed fabrics.

There are lots more but these are next to each other except Golden D Or (my favorite !) which is a few blocks away. A lot of them are closed on Saturday, but really worth a trip on the weekdays. Be sure to visit the clearance room at Golden D'Or
Thank you so much.

You have a fantastic one in your area ! Always make time to stop when down in the area. Just off Knott and Ball in an old Safeway building, no where near the District, I agree that is a scarey area. PM me for more info or if you cant find it.

I had a chat with Mary Jo and she says when her fabric is gone she will close. No more U.S. manufacturers!
