Default Kaye Wood passed on

Mama Kaye, one of the best quilting teachers, passed on yesterday. I always just loved her warm voice and she sure seemed like a person I would of loved to have over my home for dinner and of course to learn from. Her family is asking for time alone, but we do all need to remember all her contributions.

Kaye Wood was the first quilting instruction I ever saw on TV. She taught me everything. A very nice lady.

Sorry to hear she has died and she will be remembered by a lot of quilters.

Sorry for the family's loss and us quilters. I always enjoyed her shows.

Thanks for passing on this info.

I also used to just sit and watch her on our local PBS station every Saturday morning. Didn't quilt then, but her teaching stuck with me when I transitioned from garments to quilting. We will have to watch her on YouTube. Technology can be a wonderful thing.

I'm sorry to hear the news. A friend of mine was a supporter of the local PBS channel, she would knit Dr. Who scarves for the fundraisers. She took me to a meet and greet and I was able to meet with Kaye, such a gracious lady she had been at a booth at Sew Expo and remembered me from all those thousands of people who passed through.
