Default LQS fire today :(

There are 2 quilt shops very close to me; today, my favorite one had a fire

Soo sad! Don't know about damage, but I am sure it is extensive, with the fire, smoke and water. I feel so bad for the owner, she is a nice, helpful woman. Thank goodness she is ok. The store was in the lower level of a gorgeous victorian home.

That is very sad! Not just because of the quilt shop but also the lovely building it was in!

I hope she had insurance because it is probably a total loss.

I'm glad no one was hurt but so tragic. I wonder if they're considering the fires suspicious since it's the third one in five months.

Heard about this on the news earlier today......thanks for the pics...that building is/was so beautiful....they don't make them like that anymore...so sad...I heard on the news this morning that a woman who as a child grew up in that "house"-father was a doctor so she had some very personal memories of that house. I bet it is a total loss....all that wood in the basic structure is either burned or water logged. Our church (over 100 yrs old) recently had a fire.....no saving the structure...down to basement/foundation now......will rise like the pheonix though......

Oh how sad. I love Victorian homes. I hope she has good insurance too.

Aww Soo sorry for them. Glad no one was hurt. hope she had insurance. I'm sure she did. These homes have such character and perfect for quilt/fabric shops.
