I'm only 2 hours away, but won't be able to go. Enjoy your trip. Weather should be perfect for those that are going. It will be in the 70's here all week and high 70's over the weekend.
Have a safe trip and be careful. Traffic may not be too bad this time of year, but it's a busy place.
Not sure what LQS are there. But there is a JoAnns in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Have not been there since it opened so can't give a personal reference.
A great place to eat for breakfast is in Gatlinburg at the Pancake House! Get there early as it gets busy and is only open in the mornings.
If you have a chance to come further east give me a PM. I work Thur and Fri, but will be home over the weekend and you can drop in to see Quilter's Pantry.

I was there Saturday, did not know about the quilt show until last night, so I may be going back this weekend if I can talk my partner into another trip. I takes us a little over an hour to get there depending on the traffic. I did find the JoAnns, not sure of the traffic light number, it is located between Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, look for the Governor Crossing Shopping Center - you can see Books a Millions (their address is 208 Collier Drive Sevierville). There is also a quilt shop in Sevierville that I want to visit it is The Cherry Pit -- 115 Bruce Street, in downtown Sevierville. Now, that I have been bitten by the quilting bug I am always on the look out for a shop on our travels.
