I know where Kokomo is. We live in Ft. Wayne for 3 yrs while my husband attended seminary. We love that part of the country,......who knows, maybe we will show up. I have bookmarked you....that would be awesome......all those shops....
|
I only wish I lived closer! I would be there in a heartbeat! I hope everyone has a great time and takes pictures to share with us that live too far away! :)
|
OK ... you are NOT going to believe why I can't come. It's because I'll be attending the 50th birthday party of my best friends husband. Have other friends from MI, OH, MO, KY, and Maine coming in for it too.
Here's the weird part, birthday boy lives in Atlanta Georgia. Party is at his parents house. IN KOKOMO!!! I'll be IN Kokomo but I can't come!!! And no, no chance at all of getting away. Between all the friends that will be there (friends I only see once a year), all the food (*Farm* food!!!), and the other activities we have planned (lots of us are on dog club committee's together), not to mention the fact that it's a 3 hour drive - there is no way I can get away. How cruel is that?? |
Plan on me and DH. I am hoping we can drive up Friday morning and then spend the night at a motel. He might consider this as a birthday present. Last year we were in Marion for my Birthday and I got to visit the Hall of Fame.
|
Can't make it, but, we are going to Chicago for Labor Day. Where do you live up there in Indiana? Drop me a PM....
|
oh no, you can't sneak away for a few hours to come to the event as 27 quilt shops under 1 roof (Friday and Saturday) and I will have the meet and greet Saturday night

Wish you were in Massachusetts, I would love to go.

I might just have to plan a road trip with my mom. I wonder how many shops we could hit in the way there and the way back if I still have money left. Is there a world record for the most quilt shops shopped in a week?
When to Map Quest - it is a 13 hour drive from western Kansas to there. And on the way mapquest takes me I go right past my non local quilt shop in Kansas! |
I hope you can attend as the shop hop is on Friday and Saturday and lots of demonstrations and 27 quilt shops at the shop hop all under 1 roof
would be a wonderful road trip

I spent all my adult life in Kokomo, worked at Haynes Int'l. 35-1/2 yrs, retireing in'94. Moved to Fla. in '97. Would love to come to the Meet & Greet, but we summer in Mass. Long drive.. lol I'm relatively new to quilting, having joined our quilt league in Fla. about 3 yrs ago, and dearly love it. Still consider myself "a beginner". Good luck with the Meet and Greet. Wish I could join you.
|
Hope you can come to another meet and greet sometime
