Hi, I enjoy reading this board and have gotten some great ideas. This quilt is one I designed to raffle off for the American Legion Aux. The money we make on it will help our Veterans in our county. Designing and making the top is the best part for me, I can't wait to see what it is going to look like when I get it done. Hope you enjoy!

Funny how great minds think alike.

I was sewing at a friend's house yesterday and I was showing her my idea's pad to create quilts honoring ALL who serve in the military.

I have 4 different blocks I've designed on paper and I believe she was very impressed considering I'm a beginning quilter.

I was telling her how our being a military town, actually several towns around here everyone just creates red/white/blue patriotic quilts and I never see them actually for individual branches of the service or an ALL BRANCHES of the service quilt so I started creating designs for such.

So I've decided I'm going to create a dozen (one for each month) FOCUS blocks for patriotic/military quilts.

Four designs down eight more to go. :)
