Question Smoky Mountain Quiltfest, Pigeon Forge TN in March

I know it's early yet but lots of folks have to make plans pretty early.
Is anyone planning on going to Pigeon Forge for the quiltfest in March 2019?
I think it would be super fun to get a group to go and rent one of the gorgeous cabins together. Maybe have a mini retreat along with the quilt show.
    Anyone interested?

Made my hotel reservations several months ago, signed up for my classes on 11/13. I got the hotel across the street from the convention center. I would say that you are welcome to join us, but we will probably have at least 4 and maybe more. My sisters and I have been going for several years. We love it.

    I love it too!
Haven't they had to move it a couple of times because of how much it has grown?

I've on many times by myself and a few times with my husband. He is my quilter and he enjoys parts of a quilt show. I like all the vendors being in one spot. Makes it very convenient to buy those things we've been saving for.

I think this year we will take the camper over and stay in one of the campgrounds.

My husband and I are hoping to go. DH likes the bed turning, where they show and tell about the old quilts. The people are so friendly there!! It would be fun if we could get together while we are all there. My DH went to the hotel to check in while I was looking at the venders, and when he came back he told about getting on the elevator with 4 women. They said we be your not here for the quilt show. He told them they would have lost their spending money cause that is where he was headed. LOL

Will someone please tell me the dates for the Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge? I have had a note up for 3 months that it will be in March, but I have no idea what days; so I cannot make reservations or travel plans. I think it would be a great trip. I love that area of the country.

Here's a website for the show. It appears to have dates and info plus phone # and email contacts. https://www.mypigeonforge.com/event/quiltfest

    Google is your friend.

Getting excited as this show is quickly coming up (March 19-23)! My mom and I have been going down for several years now. We rent a cabin, go to the show (or quilt shops) in the morning and then head back to the cabin to sew away the evening hours. While you're in the area, make the trek out to Gatlinburg's Arts & Crafts area to visit "Mountain Stitches by Susan" - she has the most beautiful fabrics and she and her husband are the nicest people. (PS - the ice cream place across the hall has the best milkshakes ever!) Safe travels to everyone heading down and have a wonderful time!
