Absolutely lovely. How long did it take you?

I made this quilt as a retirement gift for a dear friend I have known since childhood. It highlights her love of Asian fabrics and her own glowing loveliness. It was machine quilted, machine appliqued and embellished with crystals, fabric painting and inks. My friend's gown was made from satins and tulle; her earrings are tiny crystals and her pendant is a small bead on a "chain" of doubled metallic foil thread. The misty wisps in the sky are sheer organzas and tulle. The stars in the sky are all individually glued.
I am giving it to my friend today and hope she likes it.

I can feel the love with which you made this wonderful quilt for your friend. It shows in every stitch and item you have added. It's marvlous as well must be your friend to have earned such love and friendship from another person. Blessings for each of you. Hugs and smiles.
