My friend was overcome by a wellspring of emotion knowing that this was made especially for her. She has a few days left at work training her replacement and was through for the day when I met her for lunch to present her with her surprise, but she drove back to work right away after lunch to show her colleagues. She couldn't wait for the next day. This quilt is symbolic of my love for her and a tribute to our lifelong friendship. Only the two of us knew why we were blubbering over our cobb salads.

She loved it. When I presented it to her, I felt I had a whole cheering section rooting for me on this forum. Thank you, all, for all your compliments and kind words of support.
