You get four 6.5" squares when you cut them apart, so they finished up at 6" each. The 20 bigger blocks then finish at 12" square.

OMG! I've been working on genealogy and just discovered we're related! Isn't that great?

So, new cousin, can I get on the list for one of your quilts? :mrgreen:

Sigh, I guess you know I'm kidding. Thought it might be worth a try. Seriously, I think your quilt is beautiful. I'm sure your brother and his wife will love it. I'm going to bookmark this thread in hopes of making one myself soon/sometime.
