Good illusion (s'okay I'm holding on!). I prefer it in these colours to the stark black and white too.

Very neat quilt! I could see the illusion but thanks for the suggestion of stepping back from the computer because it does give a stronger effect further back.

This is another on my list of "to do" quilts. I have had this pattern for ages, my son wants in in red and black, but it will just have to wait for a while yet. (96 blocks done 24 to go but who is counting )
Just keep on keepin' on - you'll get there!

It didn't bother me, no - in fact I struggle to 'see' the effect myself - I think I'm immune to it because of over -exposure to it. Unless it catches me by surprise, like from the tail of my eye.

That is funny! Perhaps I'll give it that subtitle...

You did a fabulous job! The 3-D effect is strong and I think the pink and black fabric is perfect together. I love this quilt! But then again, I like curves in quilts and you were able to create curve without cutting one! Be proud of your self - well done!

Been wanting to do this one, too, but now...I want it rectangular!!! I like it even better that way. Funny how we quilters take a fabric shortage and turn it into something even more magical than envisioned. Great job, now to figure out how I can redo my pattern....

   I took off the 1/2" seam allowance, halved the measurement then added the 1/2" back on - do the calculations while watching TV, make a mistake here and there with your cutting, run out of fabric, then hey presto! You have a rectangle!
