There has been lots of talk about quilt as you go having too much quilting. I did this one a few years ago. I enjoyed doing it as it was nice to be done once all the blocks and rows are put together. (Sorry the colours look washed out...I took the pix at work, so very bright lighting. :( )

I pieced, sandwiched and quilted each block, so I ended up with a stack of quilted blocks. Each row was put together with sashing, then the rows put together the same way. Border, and binding and voila...done. :)

It is beautiful.
I need to try quilt-as-you-go. I think I'd like it because I don't like the actual quilting of the top. With this method the quilting would be finished when the top was finished.
