I think it is too busy also. I would make a wider solid borderand attach it next to the reddish one you have there.

I prefer the green. The other is too busy and pulls my eyes away from the main part of the quilt.

While the green looks good, I really like the brown. It makes the quilt look more "Gone With the Wind-y" IMO. You can't lose with either one, it's a lovely quilt.

I like what you have done BUT why not do a 2 1/2 in. wide solid then add the beautiful print in the same size boarder? If you had to you could add a 3rd 2 1/2 in boarder like in a solid pink BUT whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be great!
