I love the colours you are using! It will look fantastic when its done. If you need a little break you should have a tiny one but don't leave it for too long. I normally have a tally and start counting down. When it gets to 10, then 9, 8, 7....it gets more exciting. Hang in there you are almost at your goal!

Of course sometimes just sticking with the process is the right choice...
lol -- it's for a friend's daughter and the daughter picked out this block...

i picked the colors (from a specific collection) and that helps.

several of you mentioned taking a break and working on something else.

I'm noticing that running my embroidery machine helps - as long as the embroidery pattern isn't too complicated.

i made these yesterday and made a few more blocks while waiting on the embroidery machine. =)

What you have is very nice. You could trade off with another project, or like someome suggested do something different with some of the blocks. I think if we are not happy with what we are doing, in our sewing or quilting time we need to change something and so we are having more fun!
lol you're completely right - but i promised i would make this one, so i need to finish it. -- i kinda feel like just finishing it and being done with it already. plus i am sending it to charismah for quilting and that is just plain exciting.

i'm glad you liked your blocks for the swap -- it was an adventure for me!

=)

I GOT ALL MY BLOCKS PUT TOGETHER!!!!!

I have 13 of them trimmed and ironed.

I have a picture to post, but I swore to myself that I wOuldnt get on the boards until I finished this top so I could mail it to Charismah tomorrow (only a week late).

I'm on the treadmill at the gym now so I decided to get on the boards on my phone since I can't work on quilty stuff and work out at the same time. :(

I'm one sweaty but happy gal right now.

i can really relate!
i (never) make the same quilt twice...to work on the same block...block after block...oh my....last fall i was so proud of myself for sticking with it to make all 22 pineapple blocks i needed for sil's quilt...although i love pineapple quilts and would love to have one...after 22 blocks...it will take a miricle for me to ever make another pineapple block...so tedious!...
but oh so beautiful :|
