The 50s fabric is highly prized here in the states. Sounds like you got alot of good fabric from some angels!

It is generally called "full value replacement" insurance. We just went through this due to a major flood within our home. It is well worth the extra cost of this type of insurance if you every have a disaster type incident.

Litacats - glad all is going well for you!!

Just had a house fire nov2nd and living in a rental. I realize I need patience, did replace my machines and had old for new insurance, and just got the Janome 12000, love it but so hard to not have "stuff" readily available. But, feel blessed for all I do have. : )
Love the room!

Looking good Lita. So glad you are able to be comfortable and getting back to "life as it should be". I too am seriously thinking of getting an industrial machine, my 50's Pinnock can deal with some pretty heavy stitching but I have been pushing its limits lately. Check out the prices of vintage fabric on Ebay....you will be pleasantly surprised. Depending on the designs, those old curtains could be turned into beautiful vintage/retro throws which would go really well with current design trends. Check out some interior design mags for ideas....We use big plastic containers with snap on lids to store seed and dog/cat food. We got ours when the kids worked at fast-food restaurants, I think they were used for bulk-buy pickles etc. May be worth checking out local bakeries/restaurants - see if they will sell you any. Happy quilting.

That's great your ins. will replace like that. Looks like you'll have plenty of space when you get all set up. Good luck. Glad to see your getting back up & running. Sue

very nice! but the aquarium was a shocker....moisture around the machines is generally NOT a good thing if they are computerized machines!
