I would suggest getting it appraised. You could contact the local quilt guild for names of appraisers. I have two quilts from civil war era --one appraised at $2500 and the other at $500. Even the appraiser was surprised at the value of the $2500 one--had something to do with all the information I had about the maker, etc. as well as the fabrics that had been used.

Wow! I could never part with
that beauty. I have several
that my grandmother made and
won't part with them either.
They are 70+ years old. Still
in good shape. Enjoy!!!!
