That is a beautiful storage box! I just LOVE things like that! In fact, I LOOK for old things to store my treasures in..... I probabaly have too many now, but when my permanent sewing room gets done, I will have lots of cool things to use.
Its even neater knowing the history, and that its your history too!

What a blessing that is for you to have, hold and cherish. Things like that only go to remind us that those we love are still with us in memories of cherished times. I am sure your daughter will cherish it as much as you do.

I want one--had one many years ago that my husband relined for my jewelry collection. Sadly, it was disposed of many years ago. I am so happy for you to have such a wonderful treasure!
Well, msuewhite, makes perfect sense to me!! My Grandpa was a tool designer for Brown and Sharps in Cranston RI. He designed the gears that cut the tools!! Thanks for the insight!!

I have my DGM things too.. aren't they wonderful. I love the fact that what I do comes to me as a gift from them. Probably to them from their grandmother's as well.. and on back it goes.. It is my joy and obligation to pass it on as much as I'm allowed. Oh what a day it will be when the family is reunited, and the sewing circle complete.
