Oh, my! You don't need much practice. Great quilting on a cute quilt. Some child will be thrilled with it.

You are doing a wonderful job! Would you mind telling us which mid arm you got? I have a gently used Sweet 16 and love it. As soon as the outside yard & garden work slows down, I'll get back to it.

liking quilting, I have a BabyLock Coronet on the 5 foot frame. I did have one of the original HandiQuilter frames that I used with my Bernina for some quilts, but really wanted the bigger throat space. I tried both the sitting and standing models and decided that I really prefer moving the machine, especially for anything larger than a wall-hanging. With the Handi-Quilter frame, I only did meander quilting, but I have done some other free motion motifs just with the Bernina (no frame). I'm looking forward to trying more with the Coronet.
