Default 1st try applique not using embroidery machine

Needed bigger applique so tried this.. I usually do applique on emb machne, not the greatest but hopefully this quilt to be raffled will help my Daughters class trip cost. Indiana people in her community really go all out to support their school and kids. Trojan is approx 30 " tall. quilt top not finished yet and need to figure out how to quilt it? suggestions?

Great job, maybe echo around the letters and crosshatch in the background around the figure?
