You lucky duck! They are awesome! Think of the work that went into those beauties. I think having them will inspire you even more.

I'll bet you heard me all the way from Richmond Virginia. WOOOOOW!!! How beautiful. I know you look at them all the time. Wish someone in my family had made such beauties. I only have one that I picked up at an auction for $75. It's pink and cream with hand embroidered flowers. One of the blocks needs repair, but the rest of it is in mint condition.

So cool! And they are in such great condition! Make those labels like the ladies suggested. You won't be sorry! Don't worry if they read like a book, at least people will know something about them.

Linda, is THAT what I heard an hour or two ago??! hehehehe It was you? :D

I am so fortunate to have such a crafty family. These two quilts ARE in fantastic condition. They've been kept safe and folded up. I honestly have no idea when the last time they actually were used on a bed was!

I will make labels for these guys. I also have 3 quilts my grandma made that she never labeled. I'll label them all!! I emailed my dad to ask her questions like what her mother's full name was, what state she lived in when she made them, etc etc. I haven't heard back from him yet.

How would you clean these quilts, if you wanted to? When you display them out in your house, like on a quilt rack, I'm sure they get dusty. Do you just shake them "clean" and call it good?
