These photos are of a Dresden plate quilt I made for myself back in 2005. I'd made a multi-colored pastel for my sister and fell in love with the pattern. So I made a second one of my favorite color. My family's nickname for me is Dee, so I named it Dee's Dresden.

I like it a lot. It's a different version from the normal dresden patterns.

Thanks everyone. Anne, you're right. I think it's pre-stack n' whack, though. I'd seen something very much like it on Simply Quilts and loved the look. So I had to try it. Of course, it looked much easier when Alex Anderson and her guest did it.

I'm not sure if you mean the quilt pattern or the Dresden pattern. The Dresden is available in lots of places...check your LQS. The quilt pattern is mine. I just started making a quilt and kept going till it was big enough....no plan, no pattern. I started with the four plates and added borders. I even had to go back and buy more of one of the border fabrics because I didn't have enough when I decided that I wanted to add more of it. You can download the pictures and copy from that to make your own. I could measure the borders and figure out the pattern if you can wait till I can get to it.
