Cool update on what should I do now finished

here is a picture of the quilt i took apart and put back together. I went with the solid border and used the side strips sewn together and made the binding. I wonder if the lady that made it would approve. It lloks better now than when it was given to me.the first picture is of the top before and the 2nd is the finished quilt. I quilted it on the diagonal and a free motion feather around the border. Thanks for the ladies that give me suggestions on how to do the border. I washed it yesterday.

Wonderful Job. I would think you felt so good when your chad completed with lovely quilt. Bet your feathers are beautiful too.

Sure looks nice to me and I am sure she would approve. I have inherited some blocks that are wonky to say the least and I am not sure which great made them (they were in my husband's family), but you are to be congratulated for this undertaking. I am not sure what I will do with mine.

Nice save! I have had the do something similar. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and redo quietly.
