Default 3 Dragonfly wallhanging in progress

I have it up on my design wall until I can decide how to quilt it. Should I do a small stipple or pebbles to make the Dragonflies pop out? Should I do a swirly wind design? I think I will be using black thread so the quilting doesn't over whelm the Dragonflies. It finished about 14 X 32 inches. How would you quilt it?

I like the idea of a swirly wind. My girlfriend has made a few of these blocks. I tried, but they are a lot of work and I just can't get them to be as beautiful as you and she did. Great job!

Wow, Tartan, that came out so well! I also would go with a swirl design, although I don't envy you. Black on black is hard on the eyes, but I think black thread or maybe very dark charcoal is your only thread option. don't want to detract from the bugs. I'm also seeing a narrow teal binding.

Dragonflies are so beautiful and I agree with the others on swirly quilt design.

A wonderfully artistic piece - have been following your development of this project. Am looking forward to your completion photo -- know you will find the best option for the quilting!
