    Default Iris and Dragonfly wallhanging

I absolutely loved making this! A welcome relief from the squares of the Minecraft quilt I've been making for DGS I can tell you! I've hired my LQS Gammill for it tomorrow, but needed some light relief, lol.

The furniture in my hall has painted irises on it, so I tried to match the colours of the irises to it. The border fabric is aptly named 'Dragonfly', so only fitting I used it, lol. Thanks for looking.

This is beautiful, irises are my favorite. I am working on a QRcode quilt so I can identify with the weariness of just squares.

Just googled to find your pattern and it came to this link which has beautiful floral art quilts. Check it out and enjoy. Only in my dreams could I do anything as beautiful as yours or the ones at the link. Did you have a pattern?

Ah! Therein lies a tale....... I signed up for this class at my LQS. The class was run by a woman who does a lot of appliqué - I'd been to a couple of her classes before.

The night before, I was Googling, trying to get the colours of the irises right and spotted the pattern. I fully expected to be given a copy of the pattern the next day, but without actually coming right out and saying so, she let people think it was her own design!

As you can see from the pattern here, the only difference is the background and the dragonflies. Not enough to make it her own IMHO! I complained to the shop owner and certainly won't be attending any more of her classes, I can tell you!
