oh, no, the pattern was not hard at all. I used 4 1/2 inch squares and all I had to do is find the repeat and stack 4 layers of fabric in exactly the same placement and cut out the squares, insuring the corner of the 4 1/2 inch ruler was in an interesting place on the fabric. I have made two and will make another one in the fall. Thank you for the kind comment.

I think it's beautiful. Love the fabrics (almost time to plant pansies here!). The pink sashings certainly set everything off nicely and the black really adds that depth to make the fabrics shine.
