What a wonderful group of quilts to welcome you back to the quilting world. Sometimes it just takes a Maverick to get the quilt juices flowing.

Beautifully done! You are quickly making up for lost time. I'm sure each of the recipients will be thrilled.

QuiltE,I used an Ombre fabric that started out at the sides with deep purple, then navy blue, then a cherrry red into a vibrant orange and ending int he middle with yellow. There are 2 patterns out there using this type of Ombre fabric but I haven't seen this type of Ombre fabric out there any longer. They either have polkadots or something other than this variation. I was able to use a full width of this fabric making pleats on either side of the yellow for my pillow scams, then what I cut off from the top and bottom, I used on the sides of a couple throw pillows made in the purple/black checked fabric which is a backing fabric. I ordered around 10 yards of that fabric so I've been using it for backings, borders, bindings and have enough to make my bedskirt for the queen spare bed.

The Ombre fabric is by E.E. Schenk I think it's spelled but I couldn't find my 2 patterns made for this type of Ombre fabric but here is a photo of the fabric I used. It comes at 42" wide of course and I still have just under 98" leftover to use somewhere else.

Toogie, the dinosaur quilt pattern is by Elizabeth Hartman. She writes great instructions but I think she wastes a lot of fabric, that's why I added side border using the scraps, the diaganol strips and then used more scraps for the binding. All my quilts up to date have been using my scraps, fat quarters and yardage, didn't buy any fabric whatsoever.

QuiltE, the Ombre quilt is for my spare bedroom. I also made an oversized lap quilt from the same fabric to go at the bottom of the bed but it hasn't come up in line to be quilted yet. Most all my quilts are gifts to others, mostly in my small congregation. The little boy's family just moved to Wyoming due to John Deere closing here in town and the father was able to get another job out there, I'm in Iowa. Maverick is a very special little boy about 4 years old and such a joy to have in our Kingdom Hall. His older sister already has a quilt from me back 4-5 years ago. So far my name hasn't been drawn from the basket as yet so my bed still doesn't have a quilt on it but it's coming soon as I'm almost done with everyone in my congregation getting quilts.

@Snooze2978 I am impressed that you didn't do a John Deere project for Maverick by default. Here's hoping they settle into their new community and his Dad's new dealership treats them well. You are going to have the best coordinated bedroom, ever! I remember that fabric a few years ago, and the patterns for them. In fact, I still have some of the dark/sky blue of that line that I was using in a silhouette applique project. hhmmmmm yes, one of my WIP! (not that you know anything about that! ) Now just make sure you continue on and get your bedroom ensemble completed before you do more things for others! You need to take care of YOU, before you take care of everyone else!
