Default 4th quilt is actually a quilt:-)

I finished my 4th quilt. I made this for my mom's birthday. I had the top finished on time, but I had to take it back to finish the sandwich. This is a kit from Craftsy and I was very pleased with the whole process. There was plenty of fabric and I found the fabric to be lovely to work with, especially compared to the fabrics I have been using. This was the first time quilting in the ditch and I found once I let my machine do the work, it went smoothly. It was a great overall experience. I think I am starting to get the hang of quilting:-)

Yep, you've got the hang of it Nice colors. Good quality fabrics do make a difference! (Spoken by someone who used to think all fabrics we're created equal! Not!!)

The quilt is beautiful, and the spread underneath it is too. Did you make that?

My mom gave me the spread in the 80's:-) It is a Bates and has held up beautifully and it is the perfect neutral spot to take pictures of my quilts.

Thanks everyone, for your kind comments. This is the first quilt I made that is not hanging on a wall. I usually prefer to weave blankets but my mom has gotten such a charge out of me quilting (something that is way out of my wheelhouse) that I thought she'd enjoy a quilt.
