Those are some beautiful stars. I can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Those are beautiful, is this a scrappy quilt that you are making up along the way or from a specfic pattern. I love all of the fabrics very colorful

It's a pattern in my own mind LOL. I do have a plan but it's not from a published pattern. The fabric is all from one line of fabric Legacy - by Joann's the line is Polynesian. I loved it when I saw it and bought it. Don't tell my husband but I think I have spent over a $150 on this fabric. The center block will be surrounded by the 70 small blocks. Then a border of the medallion fabric (that the darker blue background with all the colorful flowers and circles) Then the last round will be all the large star blocks. I have not decided on the corner blocks I still need 4 blocks. I am leaning toward a mariners compass because they look like stars to me, it also speaks of my family history since we love the ocean and have had boats for pleasure for three generations (as well as we were vikings going all the way back to the 9th century). What do you think Mariner's Compass Star?
