    This quilt looks like some of the quilts my mom has made and she just would take out the old piece and replace it with another. It would make a nice wall hanging though.

    I have one that is similar to this. Mine is from my Mother n law. They used it in the sleigh when they would go someplace in the winter in upper MI. I would love to hang in my home BUT the family thinks it is filled with "horse hair". Not sure as I do not want to take apart to see. Right not it is in a tub with a lid and in the garage. I have read over the suggetions and it has given me something to think about as well.

    I think it's beautiful, but I wouldn't put it on a sofa---too many chances to damage it. I vote for the museum or for finding a collector. Fragile fabrics could be mended or replaced by an expert. It would be gorgeous properly hung on a wall or on a guest bed, too.
