Oh thanks a bunch for showing and explaining this pattern. What a great use for the larger scraps I have collected. Also, from the corners that are cut off when doing the star points, I am able to make 4 6" finished pinwheel blocks by sewing an extra seem 1/2" from the first seam. What a bargain I'm going to get from those scraps. And stars are my favorite quilts. Thanks so much for this post. I'll try to remember to send you a picture when I'm finished with it. Will be a while as this is going to be a little bit at a time in between other projects.

I have never made a flying geese. Can it be made with HST's? It looks like it can.

That is my 'mostest' favorite kind of quilt. I am always begging, scrounging and gathering bits and pieces for my next quilt. So much fun!

I sewed the left over triangles together and squared them to 3" blocks, gathered some of my other scraps and made 3" blocks from them and have enough to make a twin quilt. Nothing goes to waste :-)
