Shame on me Elle - I didn't do reverse applique, I just did ordinary applique of the black centre on to the tan/gold border, on to the black outer.

But I did do the embroidery around it, does that help make up for it?

Yes, yes, it looks great however you did it. I didnīt like reverse applique the first time I took a class on it. However when I did the AOTH, it just worked for me and now I donīt mind it at all.

I need to get back to mine but got a mind block at the moment, it will go, usually does, just need to get my car fixed and get thinking straight again

Dee - that block is perfect! it's just beautiful. You did your little band around teh block the same way I did & I think PAtti did it that way too. Nothing wrong with htat.
