I bought the thread on Amazon. It was $128 for 260 large cones which is enough to do many. I also bought white prewound bobbins. 144 for $29.99

Embroidery and appliqued blocks. Fabric sashing. Fabric border corners with embroidered design. Fabric strips for borders. All blocks and corners done in hoop. Sashing and borders sewn on after. Outer border fabric strips.
