The challenge was to create an 18" quilt square, using at least one batik, and depicting one letter of the alphabet (which was chosen at random). Of course, I got "Z", ugh. I am usually fairly cautious and traditional, so thought this was a good opportunity to think outside the box and have fun with it. What do you think? It WAS fun and being small, didn't take me but a couple days to work out.

I love this idea and would like to suggest it for our quilt guild. Did you do something collective with the alphabet blocks or did everyone keep the one they created? Your zebra block is wonderfully creative and outside the box, as illustrated by the zebra head sneaking onto the border!

I think you did a super job using your imagination. It is a real work of art and I love it.
