I have been seeing your post and the progress of this quilt, it is very nice--I think I need to do one!! I vote for the borders, I think it would give it a nice finish, and I always think bigger is better!! What if she gets a bigger bed??

How about a plain border using you darkest batik. It would frame your quilt. Only drawback would be that you would have to buy some more fabric if you don't have enough, darn. :P

I think a solid looking batik border would set off the piecing. Something very simple. :-)

Don't know if you're done, I'm sure the border you described would be beautiful but I certainly know how you feel about not wanting to do one more thing on it. I guess the question is this. If you didn't put the border on it will you look back with regret some day?

That is absolutely gorgeous. How could anyone possibly make such an intricate pattern without a pattern? You a way out of my league. That's a quilt I would die to have. You did a beautiful job. I would definitely put a border on it to act as a frame.

Ok, how about this? A 1" strip of Bali Handpaint in black, a flange in gold, then 3" of the patterend?

I envy those people who can make their own patterns just by looking at something, my hats off to you!
