I forgot I had that pattern! It is so CUTE! ANd don't worry about the chicken wire going in different directions. Paper piecing is not kind to directional fabric!! Your block is perfect!

That chicken is too, too cute! I agree about the eyes tho. If you have any of those straight pins with the ball on top, try using two white pins and moving them all around the eye - if that works and you like it, then just use the other end of a child's paintbrush and dip it in acrylic paint.
You can make it look like an eyeball if you put the dots close together or it will look like a highlight if you put them up higher.

Geez o pete.. now y'all have started something... I not only found 2 chicken prints in my stash.. I found an applique chicken pattern in my pattern notebook.. wonder where the heck THAT came from....yeesh I see the templates are even already cut out.
