We have a preacher who comes every year to preach a week long revival meeting at our church. He has done this for almost 10 years, and we love him dearly.

This year he had major surgery shortly before coming, and so we all prayed especially hard for his health.

I decided to make a portrait of him preaching. The pattern was created from a flyer about the Bible College, of which he is President. The pic was about 2" high. I used a fat quarter to make the quilt top.

Everyone in church signed their prayers and best wishes to him, showing him how very much we love him and appreciate how he loves us.

I really love these portraits - they are so fun!

Preach it Brother!

These are so beautiful. Maybe someday I'll get up the nerve to try one.

That is wonderful!
Would you please show us the original photo, as well?

And perhaps some more of your other cut work pieces?

You have me totally intrigued! :)

This is just so gorgeous. I so admire the work of this style, but doubt that I will ever reach this level. So, to those that do it, keep them coming, I love to see them.
