lots of firsts for you...kudos to you!!! :thumbup:
not sure how to vote on your dilema. maybe put it aside and t :thumbup: ke several pictures of it and then maybe that will help you decide. often if i look at what ever it is and then look at a picture they are some how different. :?

I love this! Now I see the two pics side by side, I think I prefer it plain too - but I do so like the stems idea. Not much help, am I?

I have a habit of doing this already. I take pictures of different layouts or whatever and put them on my computer, so I can see and compare them at the same time. I'll probably just put it up for awhile and wait to see what I get off this post for ideas.

I'll give you my 2 cents too....I like the plain a lot more. It just seems to bring out the designs in the "plates" without the gold accents.
Congrats though--it's gorgeous!!!

I've finally decided! The gold pieces look better off the quilt. Your husband is right! But the idea of an appliqued piece would add a nice touch to the borders. It you want to use the mini pieces in the corners, I would use the floral the K's are made out of to mimic the pattern and connect it all together that way in harmony! That sounds good to me. Just a thought. Whatever you decide, Marilyn, it will look great. You've done great so far! :D :D
