No, there aren't just men in Afghanistan. My daughter was there last year.

Your quilt is great and I know it will be appreciated by a soldier. Thank you for doing this and to Jan for coordinating.

There are women serving in Afghanistan, just not in this particular group in Farah (maybe not among any of the troops at Shewan FOB for all I know). Bert has 128 men only under his command, and if they are still only bathing with 3 bottles of water once a week, I'm sure any dear lady is darned glad she's not amongst them, LOL!

(Of course, I believe that my DD, his wife, serving back at home at Peterson in Colorado Springs, is just as happy there aren't other women around either <giggle>)
